More than 25 years as a professional teacher, with an international competitive background and a simple aim: to make your dancing better.
In fact, I had never danced a step until I was 19. Twelve years later, I was representing the UK at the invitation-only World Amateur Ballroom Championships in Japan. That journey taught me something that has stayed with me throughout my career: dancing can be learnt.
My competitive career took me from complete beginner to international-level Ballroom competition. I turned professional in 2000 and have since taught thousands of dancers.
The more experience you have, the better you become at recognising what someone needs now — and what can wait. I want you to understand what we're changing and why, feel the difference, and leave your lesson more confident than when you arrived.
